7th Grade ART:

7th grade art student's Totem poles turned out great! We are now on to Ceramics. Students will learn about the three hand-building techniques and create a pot to be Bisque Fired in the kiln and then Glazed with some creative ceramic glazes. We will finish off the Unit with the production of Faux Food! These creations will look good enough to eat...but not too tasty!

 8th Grade ART:

8th grade students ended their time in Middle School Art with some fun experimenting with watercolor techniques. We had a lot of fun and they have grown so much...GOOD LUCK 8th graders...you will be missed!

6th Grade ART:
6th grade art has finally begun! We have waited a long time! We will begin with learning about the Elements and Principles of Art & Design! These are the tools that all artists use. We will practice them, talk about them, and use them in our own work. We will then begin a Unit on Color Theory! Students learn how to create all colors from the three Primary colors of Red, Blue, and Yellow.
We will bring it all together in a Color Wheel Painting. It should be a lot of FUN!

ART CLUB:

Art Club has begun and it's HUGE!!! Really, we have approximatelt 45 members this year, including both High School and Middle School students!
We began with pumpkin painting during October. A contest was held to have faculty and students vote for the "Best Dressed" Pumpkin and our winner was Maura Warren!
We are currently working on a Recycled Art
project where we create fish from soda cans.
We hope to have some fun projects coming up for the Holiday Season!
